The police have also recovered a body at sea and Lo’s boyfriend Judah is in panic mode when he cannot reach her. She distinctly remember borrowing mascara from the woman in the next cabin too. Not only that, but nobody was registered and staying in the cabin next to Lo. So how do you think it would feel if you witnessed this and tried to tell others? You would think you thought you knew what you heard and witnessed but with nobody missing on board, everyone would look at you like you are crazy. The problem? None of the passengers on deck are missing, so the ship continues sailing as if nothing has happened, despite Lo’s increasingly desperate attempts to raise the alarm.” But as the week progresses, Lo hears what can only be described as a nightmare: a woman in the cabin next to her being thrown overboard. Between the plush cabins, elegant guests, and sparkling dinner parties, Lo’s trip is nothing short of amazing. “Travel Journalist Lo Blacklock has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: to travel the North Sea on the inaugural voyage of the Aurora, a luxury cruise ship. So add that paranoia to a person that drinks all the time and you get our main character, Lo Blacklock. Instead of that, he just slams the door in her face (which does injure her) and continues his burglary.

This told her that he was prepared, it was professional and that if he had worn gloves, he could kill her. The thing that scares her the most were the gloves that he was wearing. He does not hurt her but he locks her in a room so that she is trapped while he steals her stuff. This book starts out with a young woman who is burglarized in her home. Having previously read Ruth Ware, I always enjoy her thrillers. You can be on vacation or not and still enjoy this book. I have to say that this is the perfect read, anytime. Even better was the fact that I was on a cruise with my husband when I decided to read this one. I always know I will get a good story with a twist or two.
